MEGHAN MARKLE AND PRINCE HARRY WELCOME BABY GIRL

Congratulations to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on the arrival of their baby girl, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. The couple welcomed their daughter on Friday (June 4).

“On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili,” Prince Harry and Meghan said in a statement. “She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe,” the celebrity couple shared. “Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the expectancy of a daughter in March. The baby’s gender went public approximately one month after Meghan and Prince Harry shared news of their family’s expansion.

“We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother,” a spokesperson for the couple said in February. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child,” the represenative shared of Harry and Meghan’s excitement.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared the gender of their unborn child during their interview with Oprah the following month. “Grateful,” Prince Harry told Oprah when asked how he felt about his family’s expansion. “Having any child, any one or a two would have been amazing, but to have a boy and then a girl,” the celebrity father said. “Now we’ve got our family and we’ve got four of us,” Prince Harry concluded.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated their son Archie’s second birthday last month. “We have been deeply touched over the past two years to feel the warmth and support for our family in honor of Archie’s birthday,” Prince Harry and Meghan said in a statement.

“Many of you donate to charities on his behalf and mark the occasion by giving back or doing an act of service—all through the goodness of your hearts,” the celebrities continued. “You raise funds for those who need it most and continue to do so organically and selflessly. We remain incredibly grateful.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle held a charity effort in honor of their son’s birthday that benefited the Vax Line COVID-19 Vaccine Equity Campaign, which served to benefit individuals who cannot afford to pay for the COVID vaccine.
